I give The Log Doctor my highest recommendation. I found the entire process of working with this company and its owner, Rudy, to be a pleasure. Rudy took all the time required for me to completely understand the process and all my options. He worked with me to ensure that the project stayed within my available budget. The actual process itself was a wonder to watch as a virtual army of workers descended on my cabin and worked carefully and as hard as anyone i’ve ever seen. I watched in amazement as 60 years of neglect, dirt and mold were stripped from my logs until blonde wood was all you could see. The staining and satin finish coats were carefully applied then sanded to perfection and the finished product was so far beyond my expectations that it was hard to believe. The re-chinking was absolute perfection. Every item that had been attached to the cabin was returned and the property was completely clean which, given what was removed from logs was more than a minor miracle. My neighbors were astonished as most of them had been former owners of the cabin at one time or another. The cost, while higher than I had initially planned, turned out to be bargain given the amount of work put in and increased value added. There were about 7-8 workers working up to 12 hours a day for 2 weeks utilizing state of the art environmentally friendly techniques. More importantly, the increased value to my cabin that The Log Doctor added when I went to sell the cabin 2 years later resulted in me nearly doubling my entire investment in the cabin and the renovation.
